- 126 people died in rural Victoria and 85 people died in metropolitan Melbourne.
- road users aged between 18–25 represent 15% of people (31 people) who lost their lives. Those aged 30-39 represented 19% of deaths (40 people).
- male road users made up 75% of those (159 people) who lost their lives in 2020.
- 41% deaths were the result of a vehicle running off the road, these crashes resulted in 86 deaths.
