Tele-mentoring delivers unique training in pain management
Health practitioners can receive specialist training in pain management through a free program offered by the Western Victoria Primary Health Network.
Health practitioners can receive specialist training in pain management through a free program offered by the Western Victoria Primary Health Network (WVPHN).
Project ECHO Persistent Pain is an interactive tele-mentoring program delivered via live video conferencing.
Health practitioners with an interest in persistent pain can attend and contribute. The video sessions are particularly useful for practitioners treating patients who have limited access to persistent pain services or are unwilling to engage with pain services.
By connecting primary clinicians to specialists via video, the Project ECHO model allows patients with complex conditions to receive care from local providers without waiting for specialist appointments or travelling long distances.
The program’s panellists include specialists from Barwon Health, WorkSafe and the TAC Clinical Panel.
Visit the WVPHN website to register. Priority will be given to those who live or work within the WVPHN, as there is a limit to the number of attendee locations.
