5 principles when treating TAC clients
Watch this video for a quick overview of the TAC Clinical Framework.
This is our set of 5 guiding principles for the delivery of health services, to support TAC health providers when treating patients after a transport accident.
Web tools to support recovery
The new Supporting your recovery section of the TAC website gives clients general information about how to manage their recovery, plus resources on physical and mental health, return to work, medication and pain management.
If you think this information may help a client, you can direct them to tac.vic.gov.au/recovery
Outcome measures for TAC clients
More than 50 outcome measures are available on the TAC website. In line with the first principle of the Clinical Framework, they can help you assess a patient’s health status and demonstrate the effectiveness of treatment.
Use the links to print a measure or score it online. Access them at tac.vic.gov.au/outcomes
Promoting safe services
The TAC has a zero tolerance approach to abuse or neglect.
Dedicated TAC staff operate the TAC Abuse and Neglect Report Line where any concerns about client safety or quality of care can be reported.
You can contact the line by calling 1800 931 233 or emailing reportabuse@tac.vic.gov.au. See details at tac.vic.gov.au/yourcare
